Fun Learning Youth (FLY) is a youth-led organization utilizing cohort-based mentorship to reduce dropout among middle-school underprivileged students in India.

We want to do our part by reverting the harm done by the pandemic to education, improving retention rates, and helping students build an environment where they actually learn.

We are incorporated as a nonprofit with Corporations Canada.
We've had 50+ volunteers help us so far, who we are really thankful to, we've taught 1200+ students in 14 locations in India and abroad.
Various local and national newspapers have helped us spread the word about retention rates in schools, generous people have recognized our effort and funded us, and we are really grateful to have people who can support us with their time and advice in crucial times.
We are open to collaborations with other institutions and organizations.
And of course, we'd love to talk to you and figure out how you can contribute towards making a positive impact towards the education system and student lives.
What
We are a group of volunteers that mentor underprivilged students in our individual localities (14 such "clubs" so far). Our goal is to inspire them to join school again or increase their attendance in school by teaching in a fun way!
How
Gamifying, storytelling, mentoring, and enjoying with them! We just want to be the one person that cares about their education, health, and them. So far it has done wonders in building connection with our students and we want to continue spreading the mission so more people could do the same for students in their localities.
Why
14-year olds who started working during the pandemic now don't want to go to school because they're additional source of income and education is seen as an expense. They barely know how to perform arithmetic or recite alphabet. Girls are getting married sooner and boys are getting employed in high-risk jobs.
